Have You Thought About it This Way?

Alright. So everyone loves a healthy drink right? Sometimes just a juice or protein shake doesn’t sound so filling and leaves you still hungry 30 min later. Can I get an Amen?! Mmhmm… How I like to approach healthy eating is much different than you see in your typical weight loss program. If you’ve seen my other blog posts, of course you know I always like to start with the mind. If we don’t believe we can do it or achieve a healthier lifestyle we never will. Getting our mind right is key and you’ll find some references for that at the bottom of this page. 

Part of getting our minds right is creating new habits.

OK now for the good stuff. You Ready? It’s super simple. CHOICES.

Choosing the better alternative. Choosing the smaller portion. Choosing to eat slowly and stopping when you feel full and satisfied. Choosing the less sugary food or drink. Choosing water that TASTES good to you so you actually want to drink it - this one right here helped me so much, because I used to not like drinking water! Can you believe it? My gall bladder was probably sounding like Sia screaming from the chandelier. Last but not least, choosing to be the person you see living the lifestyle you’ve always wanted. It all starts with a CHOICE - make the choice, let’s say…. NOW? Yeahhhh.

You don’t have to be vastly overweight to want to choose a healthier lifestyle, but usually not being happy with our current look in the mirror or feel in our clothes is what gets us here. Being healthy is a mindset that we choose and it usually starts with the desire to be happy. Creating a healthy mindset in turn creates healthy choices which means the habits we now have created are healthy. See, NBD! You got this!!!

  2. Reminder: Mind, Spirit, Soul & Body all go hand in hand. Once one is aligned, the others will crave to be aligned with it. 

  3. Repetition is key to “tricking” your mind into anything. Small habits create long term results, so start small and grow toward to your goal. Once the habit sticks, it’s a way of life and you don’t have to think so much about it, you just LIVE it.
